Move From Recognizing Spanish to Building It Yourself

EPIC Spanish Bootcamp is a six-day, in-person Spanish experience built around a mystery that unfolds across the week.

Instead of moving through disconnected lessons, participants become part of an investigation. Each day introduces new Spanish that helps them understand people, places, objects, descriptions, and events connected to the mystery.

Learners gather evidence, compare clues, question people, interpret what they hear and read, and use Spanish to decide what matters. The scenarios are designed to feel practical and believable—such as navigating a home, café, store, neighborhood, or public space—while each one also moves the investigation forward.

Participants take on rotating investigation roles, work with other members of the group, and gradually uncover how the people, places, and clues are connected.

The Spanish grows with the mystery. New words and sentence patterns are introduced in manageable pieces, then reused repeatedly in different situations so learners are not simply memorizing vocabulary—they are using Spanish for a reason.

Monday through Friday includes approximately 20 hours of instruction and investigation. On Saturday, participants enter a final live Spanish experience where they use what they have learned to follow the remaining clues and bring the mystery to its conclusion.

No previous Spanish experience is required. The Bootcamp is designed so complete beginners can participate while learners with some previous Spanish can work at a deeper level within the same investigation.

The Mystery

Learn Spanish Because You Need It to Solve the Case

On Monday, the investigation begins. You receive detective credentials, encounter the first missing or changed evidence, and start building a case. From there, each day introduces new language and a new layer of the mystery.

1

Gather Evidence

Identify what is present, missing, different, where it is, and how much there is.

2

Question People

Use practical Spanish to learn names, roles, possessions, locations, times, wants, and needs.

3

Work the Scenarios

Move through witness, café, store, home, map, and location-based situations that advance the case.

4

Unlock the Final Clue

By Friday, your team has a case file—but one decisive clue remains for Saturday.

How the Week Builds

One Learning Cycle, Repeated With Purpose

The content grows throughout the week, but the learning process stays clear and familiar.

1

Hear and Recognize

Listen for useful sounds, syllables, words, and patterns.

2

Connect Meaning

Use images and context to understand without translating every word.

3

Build Sentences

Combine manageable word sets with patterns you can reuse.

4

Use It in Context

Practice responding through guided, scenario-based conversation.

The EPIC Approach

Understanding Comes Before Complexity

You do not need to memorize an entire language before you begin communicating. EPIC Spanish builds from a small, useful base and revisits it often enough for the language to become familiar.

  • Sounds and syllables support clearer pronunciation.
  • Images make new language easier to understand and remember.
  • Small word sets keep each step manageable.
  • Sentence patterns create many possibilities from what you know.
  • Repeated listening and speaking build confidence through use.

The Final Day Brings the Investigation Together

Saturday is not an unrelated field trip. It is the final chapter of the mystery. Learners bring their evidence, language, and accumulated clues into a live Spanish setting where the last part of the case has to be unlocked.

The result is an authentic reason to listen carefully, ask questions, respond, collaborate, and make yourself understood in Spanish.
